Blue Bell Student Leading a Relief Effort For Haitians 146 Volunteers Will Leave Today With Medicine, Clothes, and Lots of Cookies

Holmes INQUIRER STAFF WRITER A single text message to a law student from Blue Bell has led to a humanitarian mission to Haiti, set to leave from Miami today with 146 volunteers, a medical team, tents, clothes, and Girl Scout cookies. Phillips Development Employee Joins Haitian Relief Efforts

Tampa Bay Business Journal Date: Friday, February 12, 2010, 12:48pm EST Phillips Development & Realty LLC employee Michael Ciftci is joining a group of 100 local volunteers, including surgeons and construction workers, traveling to Haiti to rebuild an orphanage. “We are hopeful that our time spent there will have a meaningful impact,” Ciftci said in a statement.
